The Giants and the Grasshoppers

The Giants and the Grasshoppers

them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

(Gen. 1:27) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created Him ; mail and female created He them.

Moses led the Israelites out of the desert, and he arrived at the entrance of the Promised Land. The land flowing with milk and honey. At Kadesh Barnea, they sent 12 leaders from 12 tribes to explore the new land for 40 days. Ten of the 12 came back and had a negative report, but 2 of the 12 had a good report. Their names were Joshua and Caleb.

Numbers 13:30-33 says, And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

But the man that went up with him said, we be not able to go up against the people: for they are stronger than we.

And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, as a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.

And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

Ten of the l2 saw themselves as mere grasshoppers in contrast to what is called "giants", in Canaan. They wanted to give up and not enter the Promised Land.

God could not use such faithless people to possess the land that He had given them. People filled with fear cannot be blessed by God. God honors those who are bold, courageous and who put their trust in Him.

Today, many Christians see themselves as grasshoppers. They see their enemies as giants. They are looking through the eyes of the old defeated nature, which is of the flesh.

Christians must look at their circumstances through their Spiritual eyes.

Jesus Christ has provided everything for us so that we can become more than conquerors through Him. He has paved the Way; we need only to obey.

We were created to take dominion over any territory which the Lord our God gives us. We read in (Gen. 1:26) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let

age of God created He him; male and female created He them.

(Gen. 1:28) And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, a have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

When man rebelled against God; he lost his power to have dominion over the earth due to his sin. In order to restore man's authority, God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to restore all of those who receive Him unto Himself. Those that believe in Christ and His provision may now exercise the wonderful power provided by the blood of Jesus Christ.

We no longer should see ourselves as grasshoppers, but we should see ourselves as Spiritual giants through the power of the Holy Spirit working in and through us.

As long as we see ourselves as powerless; we cannot be used by God. He wants men and women who are brave and fearless like Joshua and Caleb. He wants men and women of courage who can take back the territory that the enemy has tried to steal from God's people; the promised Land.

Through the precious Blood of Jesus Christ, man has been delivered from the curse, disease, and all the works of the devil. He has been set free, and he must live his life as a giant and not as a grasshopper.

Our spirits have been resurrected with Jesus Christ, and we are now new creatures in Christ. We have been REDEEMED.(2 Cor. 5:16)

Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we Him no more.

(2 Cor. 5:17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Our old "grasshopper" natures are gone, and we are totally new. We are now overcomes and victorious through the highly power of the Holy Spirit.

(1 John 4:4) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Now, we have Christ inside of us, and it is His Spirit that overcomes the world. From now on; we can do all things through Christ Who strengthens us.

We are no longer 'controlled by our old natures, circumstances, the world, or the enemy; we are now sons and daughters of God who are led by the Holy Spirit.

(Rom. 8:14) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Since we are new creations; we must live with new thoughts. We must praise God, recognizing that He is with us always, and He will never leave us nor forsake us. We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. We are part of the glorious Family of God, The Bride of Christ, which is Church of the Living God.

God has delivered us from the grasshopper mentality, and He has placed us in heavenly places along with Himself. He died, was buried, and resurrected, and He is now sitting at the right hand of god the Father making intercession for His saints day and night.

Let's keep our eyes on Jesus Christ who is seated in heavenly places where the giants of faith dwell. We are no longer slaves to sin, but we are now bondservants of the most high God.

Let us have the hearts of men of valor like Joshua and Caleb who took the Promise of God and made it into reality for the world to see. Let's take back the Promised land for our Lord and our God. We are now the giants through the Lord Jesus Christ, and we can have the total victory in Him.
