Sowing and Reaping
My great desire is to help you grow in God and become all He wants you to be, and do all He has called you to do. For this to happen you must get a revelation of God's law of sowing and reaping. It is one of the truths that has changed my life the most.
In Genesis 8:22, God says there will be seedtime and harvest as long as the earth remains. These words were spoken to Noah as he looked at the earth completely destroyed by the flood. In other words, God was letting him know he could start over with the seeds in his hand and create a beautiful world for him and his family. If you are facing devastation, remember that you can begin to plant good seeds, and God will make them grow into an abundant harvest.
From the beginning in the creation of man God talked about seeds. Genesis 1:26-31 describes God's release of authority into His first two people. He tells them that every living thing had seed in it, and they are to be fruitful and multiply. Seedtime and harvest are about multiplication and authority. By the God-given dominion in your life, you have the power to multiply blessings in the earth.
Listen to these words from proverbs 11:24-25, "There is one who scatters, yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself."
Here is the Revised Version, "One man gives freely, yet grows all the richer; and only suffers want. A liberal man will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered."
Multiplication power is in your hands. The seed you hold will grow and increase if it is planted and nurtured. Only what you sow can multiply. If you eat it, it's gone. If you sow it, it will come back many times more. God gave His Son as a seed for the harvest of millions into His Kingdom. Jesus spoke of sowing the Word of God in the soil of Heart (Mark 4).
Every day you can sow good seeds in all areas of your life. Sow your work into the company of people you serve as unto the Lord. Each day demonstrate God's love in kindness and mercy. Think of all you do as seeds sown into God's kingdom.
Be prepared to wait for your harvest. "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose hearts (Galatians 6:9). Your " due season" will come. It is on the way right now in accordance with your sowing.
"But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully" (2 Corinthians 9:6). Your sowing decides your reaping. You order your harvest in advance by the seeds you plant. Your future is in your hand. You decide your tomorrow by your sowing today. God will not be mocked. This is an unchangeable principle designed to bless those who live in God's kingdom.
OUR KEY TO DEBT FREEDOM:
Our church has lived the principle of seedtime and harvest to become debt free and since January 1985, we have gone on a cash basis. By planting our seeds into the poor, missions and other ministries, we have seen God's multiplied harvest. As we face needs we plant our seeds. It is a rhythm of constant sowing and reaping and sowing and reaping and sowing and reaping.
We look to God as our source. He uses many channels to bring His supply to meet our needs, but He alone is the Ultimate Source. Our expectation of the harvest is from God. His promise is to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:19).
Even as we approach the biggest hurdle in our land purchase and children's building, we are sowing our seeds for a harvest to finish the building by the start of the school and buy the land. We've learnt that our seed planted in God's hands is the key to miracles.
I pray for you as you make your whole life a seed into God's Kingdom. May everything you touch prosper and succeed. I pray for wisdom, strength, and anointing to overflow you-in Jesus ' Name.
Let's agree on the harvest you need. Nothing is impossible with God!
l Make Him Your Source
l Plant Your Seed in Faith and Love
l Expect a Miracle Harvest!
